                               RESOLUTION NO. 20708
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER
                  INTO A TRI-PARTY AGREEMENT WITH E.I. DUPONT DE
                  NEMOURS AND COMPANY AND HAMILTON COUNTY,
                  TENNESSEE, RELATIVE TO PROVIDING A LOCAL MATCH
                  OF FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, TWENTY-
                  FOUR DOLLARS ($457,024.00) TO HAMILTON COUNTY,
                  MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ALLOWING
                  DUPONT TO DISCONTINUE THEIR EXISTING ON-SITE
                  WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to enter into a tri-party agreement between the City of
       Chattanooga, E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, and Hamilton
       County, whereby the City of Chattanooga will provide to Hamilton
       County the sum of $457,024.00 to provide the local share to match 

       a grant to be obtained by Hamilton County from the Tennessee
       Industrial Infrastructure Program (TIIP), which will allow DuPont 

       to discontinue its existing on-site wastewater treatment
       facilities.
